Professor Britto is known nationally for her work on young children’s literacy, and social and identity development of Muslim Arab children, as well as internationally for her scientific commitment to cross-cultural issues, evidence-based national policy development, and early learning standards for young children. Her primary expertise is in the role of sociocultural factors in child development, and early childhood policies and programs in the developing world.
