Alexandre Debs is Associate Professor of Political Science at Yale University, where he is also a Research Fellow at the MacMillan Center, and co-Director of the Leitner Program in International and Comparative Political Economy.

 

He is interested in the causes of war, nuclear proliferation, and democratization. His previous work has appeared or is forthcoming in the American Political Science Review, the Economics of Peace and Security Journal, International Organization,International Security, International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, and the Quarterly Journal of Political Science. He is the author of the book Nuclear Politics: The Strategic Causes of Proliferation (with Nuno Monteiro).
